Problem Statement

At Feed we launched posts originally by giving users the ability to post their carts to the Feed. To incentivize people to interact with and discover new purchases through the Feed, we worked on a comments flow.

Solution

‍To identify a comments flow that aligns with our needs, we conducted a competitive analysis across several platforms.

We found that when a commenting function had many options, one way to make it less overwhelming was starting small, but expanding upon user interaction. This fulfilled our requirements to have multiple actions available when commenting:

1. Adding photos
2. Mentioning users
3. Reply in threads
